The tide tables matter more than the weather forecast out here. The creeks fill fast, so check today’s tides before you set off.
The Coasthopper bus (CH1) stops at the end of The Greenway, linking Wells, Blakeney and Sheringham, where the trains run to Norwich. That makes the coast path easy one way: walk to Blakeney and ride back. Coasthopper times →
Wading birds on the Freshes, sea lavender turning the marsh lilac from July, terns nesting out on Blakeney Point from April, and seals. See camping near Blakeney Point for the boats and the birds.
Tents, campervans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents are welcome, with showers, laundry and wifi on site, and dogs on the lead. We do not take caravans. See the pitch plan.
