Are dogs allowed at High Sand Creek Campsite?

Yes. Dogs are welcome, up to three per pitch, kept on a lead and under control at all times. They are not allowed inside the facility block.

Can I bring a caravan?

No. We welcome tents, campervans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents. We do not accept caravans or teardrop trailers.

Do you have electric hook-ups?

Yes, 28 pitches have electric hook-up, including every pitch in the C field. Our pitch plan shows which ones. We do not allow generators or the charging of electric vehicles on site.

Is there hardstanding for motorhomes?

Five pitches are on under-grass hardstanding. The pitch plan shows which. There is also a chemical disposal point and a drive-over grey water disposal point.

How big are the pitches?

Every pitch has a usable space of 9 × 9 metres. Most are level, but a few are not, so ask at check-in if that matters for your set-up.

Which pitches have sea views?

The A and D fields look out over the marsh to the sea, and most of them catch the sunset. Pitches A07 to B08 sit along the top fence line, on the edge of the woodland in semi-shade. The pitch plan on our website lets you filter by view.

When is the campsite open?

Open 25 March – 9 October 2027.

How much is the deposit, and when do I pay the balance?

A deposit of 25% of the total, minimum £20, is taken when you book (never more than the booking itself). The balance is due 14 days before arrival; if you book within 14 days of arrival, the full amount is taken when you book. If you choose automatic payment, your balance is taken from the card you paid your deposit with on the balance due date. We'll email you 3 days before, and you can pay sooner or change card at any time. Your confirmation email shows the exact amounts and the date the balance is due. Deposits are non-refundable, and cancelling within 14 days of arrival forfeits the full amount paid.

Can I choose my own pitch when I arrive?

Pitches are allocated, not first-come-first-served, so please check in at reception first rather than choosing your own spot.

What if I am arriving late?

We hold a booking for 24 hours from your stated arrival time. If you are running later than that, please call on 01328 830235 so we do not release the pitch.

What facilities are there?

Ladies’ and gents’ blocks with 6 hot showers each, an outdoor shower, an accessible shower and washroom, undercover washing-up sinks, a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer, wifi, and a freezer for ice blocks. Camping Gaz and BBQ charcoal are for sale on site.

Can I have a barbecue or a campfire?

Barbecues are fine if they are raised off the grass and never left unattended. We do not allow open fires, fire pits, fireworks or sky lanterns.

What are the quiet hours?

Quiet from 10:30pm to 7am, and visitors should leave by 10:30pm too.

Who can book?

Every party needs at least one adult aged 18 or over, and anyone under 18 must be with a parent or guardian. We do not take bookings from large single-sex groups, or stag and hen parties.

Can I get to the campsite without a car?

Yes. The Coasthopper bus (CH1) stops at the end of The Greenway, linking Wells, Blakeney and Sheringham, where the trains run to Norwich.

Can I see the seals at Blakeney Point?

Yes. Seal boat trips leave from Morston Quay, two and a half miles east along the coast path. At low tide you can also see the seals from the shore facing the Point, but check the tides first because the creeks fill fast.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers start from £10, are emailed straight away, last 2 years from the day you buy them, and can be spent all at once or bit by bit.
